The family company Grannas has been making Dala hästar since 1922, and is now the oldest still existing maker of the classic wooden horses. No one questions the kurbits painted (classic swedish fantasy flower patterns) horses icon as a swedish souvenir, but Swedishness chose a white, sober version of the classic.
